Tunisia men crowned African champions for ninth time

Cairo, Egypt, October 29, 2017- Tunisia captured the 2017 Men’s African nations Championship’s title after they took on Egypt in the final 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-15) at Cairo Stadium Complex in Egypt on Sunday.

Tunisia set the record of number of trophies by clinching the 9th title and the first since 2003. Egypt failed to continue the victory run after 6 consecutive titles.

The Tunisian team used their high spirit to stop the Egyptian players at the beginning of the match till they won the difficult first set.

Thereafter Tunisia controlled the match completely using the frequent reception mistakes done by the Egyptian players to win the second and third sets in style to achieve the title after 14 years from the last trophy.
